Like many pet businesses (including CityDog Magazine), it starts with a furry, four-legged muse. In the case of P.L.A.Y. Pet Lifestyle and You, that muse is Momo, a wiggly little pug who inspired Will and Deb Chen to create the perfect pet bed.

Founded in 2010, P.L.A.Y.'s mission is simple: to create pet products that are better for pets, people and the planet. How did they do it? They started from scratch. Better for the Planet: Best of all, the Planet Fillâ„¢ stuffing in P.L.A.Y.'s products is made with certified-safe, 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles -- to be exact, 108 recycled plastic bottles are used to fill one XL P.L.A.Y. bed -- and to date, P.L.A.Y. has saved over a million bottles from going into the landfill. 

P.L.A.Y. has also joined companies like Patagonia, Ben & Jerry's, the Honest Company, and others, as a certified B Corps to meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to solve social and environmental problems. Collectively, B Corps like P.L.A.Y. are leading a growing global movement of people using business as a force for good.
